It’s been a week, but I’m finally able to update Shadbase with new content again.
I hope you like the direction the new design is going. There will be more tweaks, layout changes and even new functions and some other overhauls, but the basics of the new look is done. As usual feel free to suggest new things or point out changes you don’t like.
To answer some of your questions: The new background can be downloaded as a jpeg here, and yes there will be new and more banners, even some of the old ones will make a return, but for now this one will have to do, I will add more in January.
As for the Metal Gear series, I have been working on a second page for the Sniper Wolf comic, but I cancelled it cause I got too busy with the 2014 design. Then a friend gave me the Bioshock collection for Christmas, and Id honestly much rather play Burial at Sea than Metal Gear, so Ill return to the series once Im in the MGS mood again, consider it added to the repertoire of themes I can always come back to in 2014. Plus playing Bioshock is the perfect excuse to finally draw more of Elizabeth, like I promised before.
On further news since I will be going to Magfest in a few days this will be my last post on Shadbase in 2013, (you can expect one more on Shagbase though.) There’s a high chance I will do more Bioshock related content next, but either way I won’t be able to get any work done from the 2nd till the 6th since Magfest will be a few days (This will be my first vacation in more than 2 years). Once I’m back I will continue business as usual.
Heres a short look back at 2013:
It’s been the first year for Shädbase that it has gone a entire year solely focusing on erotic artwork, and it’s also been the first full year for ShaGbase. By the end of the year both sites have reached traffic rankings far beyond my wildest dreams, I’ve also had the fortune to be sponsored by the great FLAA inc. in spring, which have been a great financial help in keeping the weekly posts flowing. In Summer year I got Spazkid on board as a second artist and animator, who has been a outstanding service and a very dear friend, there’s no better artist I could wish for as a secondary content provider. You can count on his presence and activity in the future as well, he has a lot of really neat ideas up his sleeve.
Another big influence to me was changing country yet again and moving to the states, where I got to meet a lot of really nice people from the art community, which have been very good friends to me and helped me feel more accepted in the community along with having a more positive outlook on people and life in general.
So in retrospect, 2013 was a very valuable year to myself and Shadbase.
It’s time to move on to 2014, with vigor in my heart I will rape, pillage and murder my way through the internet more vehement than ever before!

The shoes decorative do not match in size with each shoe.
The legs of the chair are not proportionate to each other.
Where do I even begin with the hair? Not enough stand detail, looks like something you would put on a Lego person. Also what in the world were you thinking with the bland blackness that looks like something she is wearing under her hair? It’s so badly done it looks like there is simply a large empty void between her forehead and hair.
The pattern on the stockings do not match.
The lighting effect is a tried too hard without the talent to back it situation. Making it look worse as you focused so much on it and couldn’t pull it off, making it stand out for the worse.
The makeup on here eyes is not evenly applied.
The good:
Other than what I pointed out good detail on the clothing.
Nice work with the cigarette and the smoke. The attention to detail to show that she just took a puff is great and it all looks rather good.
The eyes while simple are striking and engaging for attention.
The hands are well done.
The chair cushion truly emphasizes her weight upon it. Making the character feel more real.
Least your acting like a real critic. You point out both flaws and admire on the good parts of the art. May not matter much to you but that tiny bit of respect you got from me just grew a bit. I see the good in you.
If you go to the first or last pictures the icons like next or last turn a dark purple because they can’t be clicked further, maybe make them some form of red instead since the theme is mostly red and pink?

i’ve been practicing my paint skills and everyone seems to have CVS2 sprites (even me and plushie ) except holo and questionpool….since holo’s a non violent anime character and dark boshy doesnt fight….
the best i got is an actual wolf for her…
maybe if you just smooth them a bit, add extra shades and add more detail from the sprites, you could have a better looking sprite?

Shad I just want to talk about how fantastic you are at art. I love how in this picture Elisabeth seems much more mature than in previous pictures of her. I see that you really like to pay attention to details. And the background is amazing. It’s just awesome how you made the right so bloody and gory, while the left has a lot more girls and nudity. And finally I must ask you how in the world do you do it. Seriously, you must use reference pictures but how can you take the reference picture(s) and pose them into something else? Also then new banner, how can you make the tattoos? How can you design something that complex? I truly think that not only are you a fantastic artist, but also one of the greatest. I think that you should make sfw art and sell it, because if you did I’m sure you would make money and become a person that people know.

Mine has to be the Elizabeth comic because I love pieces that show the openness of sex of not being taboo and the cuteness of her wanting to have sex for the first time.

The new design looks great! The background seems like the perfect mix of characters that really defines the chaos of all things Shad.
Christmas was pretty good for me. I mostly got some movies but more importantly I got A Link Between Worlds. Shad, I know you were initially disappointed with the reveal of a more traditional Zelda but this game is REALLY excellent. You should give it a shot if you get the chance.
Elizabeth looks great and reminds me that I need to play Burial At Sea. But I just wrapped up Ace Attorney 5 (another excellent 3DS game) and will be focusing on Zelda for a bit.

Ive been a fan of the site since mid-2012 and i never started commenting until September 2013. I’m glad I’m apart of the Shadbase community now, i hope 2014 is the best for all of us.

Ever since both my parents died and I was raised by my senile grandparents to where I am now, I can just say that Shadman, Spazkid, and the whole community of Shadbase and Shagbase have been more than a family to me than anyone I’ve ever known, so I continue to support your website shad, and all your work with a strong head skip in my step, I also wish you and everyone else on here a Happy New Year and a happy 2014, I can’t thank you enough Shadman for all the work and trouble you put up with to make everyone on here happy so kudos to you and Spazkid with all of my heart!

My Christmas went great Shad. People got drunk but not fighting drunk so no need for carpentry work and I got a 3DS with pokemon Y from my girlfriend and I got her a 3DS with pokemon X. Both of us haven’t played a pokemon game for ten years and figured this would be a great way to get back into it.

Sorry, cant seem to be able to salvage it between all the other 1000s of Spam comments that came in today, Ill be more careful next time. Unfortunately it happens daily that legit comments fall victim to being accused as Spam, its either that, or complete Spam Anarchy, so its a small price to pay.
