I know she’d stay with me if I broke up with my friend, I know that’s a fact. Like, I love my old one more than my new one, and the new one just isn’t the same. I feel that you simply need to talk out the situation with both of them, not at the same time, but both of them. In my mind there is no avoiding hurt feelings here but at least you’re being honest with them. After doing so, probably with some big backlash from both, figure it out yourself. And if both these people truly care about you they will support your decision either way, though the depressed one is less likely to be stable.
