He knows there are three, and he doesn’t event attempt to shoot at the third. Not only fails to make the attempt but his melee charge is no surprise at all. The two men were looking face to face with the largest man right behind them. It just doesn’t make any sense. You could have easily made the scene more believable if he simply ran out of bullets and the guns make a “click” sound.
Now for the art mistakes. The brain is not nearly accurately depicted also despite the side of the skull being blown off away from the gunfire which would have required a shot through the middle of the skull not through the eye. The brain itself lacks a any damage that would have required such damage to the skull.
The girls freckles once again move about and fail to be consistent to any former panel.
The facial hair of the one in the cap mysteriously vanishes in the first scene on this page and then comes back as he is shot.
The guns are not giving off a realistic lighting effect or pattern when being fired.
The knife that the woman (or looks rather to be a underage girl) gets seems to be out of nowhere. It was not on the man charging. It was not hidden under her pants on the other page as the size and shape would have made it visible.
The teeth on the charging man’s bandana have changed.
The characters seem to lack ear canals which not only is a mistake but likely subconsciously done and a sign of fear of not wanting to hear. Likely caused by some event/s in the artists adolescence period of life.
The woman likely represents Shad’s mother and the “hero” his father. The bad men are all Shad but two die being his childhood and teen years and the large represents his adult life (hence why this one is larger) and his anger towards his parents likely do to some abuse. Likely sexual abuse given the nature of Shad’s work.
