Im currently about 10 hours in, with MGSV and Im completely bored with the game, the game-play is so repetitive that the game seizes to be fun once you get to the second area, aka Africa. The missions are like a chore list, the environments are repetitive and the gampeplay becomes predictable. I'm not sure if I'm going to finish it, but I will try to play it again on stream sometime, see if that motivates me to press on with it.

10 hours in and you’re already in Africa? Jesus, I didn’t know you could go through the game so quickly. I’m about 55 hours in and I didn’t get into Africa until after around 40 hours of playing. This is definitely my game of the year. It’s one of the most fun games I’ve played in a while.

To be honest, I feel like Africa is actually where the game opens up and the story starts to get really interesting. Give it a chance, i’m sure it’ll hook you back in. Plus, Africa is more conducive to playstyles other than sneaking, you can get really offensive and be rewarded more for it than in Afghanistan.
Ive played quite a bit in Africa, but now Im at the mission where you have to save children, and I stopped playing since then and havent had the urge to return, cause it feels like a chore to play.

Same types of missions in the same places all the damn time! Well at least you can play as a female solider so that’s…neat i guess.Except they don’t show up on the cut scenes which sucks. I have a few more…goals i want to acomplish,basically some things i want to unlock but after that i’m done with the game. Also you do know about the game breaking glitch involving Quiet right?

I already have over 100 hours in MGSV and I can’t get bored. It’s only repetitive if that’s what you make of it, try out new weapons and styles of play. And if you’re already in Africa TEN hours in, you’re rushing the fuck out of it. Took me over 50 hours to get to Africa.

I totally get what you mean about MGSV being repetitive. It’s just that for me, it doesn’t matter. I could infiltrate 1000 outposts. The flavor of characters, the world, and just playing as Big Boss himself are enough to keep me constantly engaged and interested, despite repetitive gameplay.

It’s a scene after you complete mission 31, which is supposed to be end-game, if you return to mother base after finishing those missions and it’s raining, big boss and quiet will go and play in the rain.
