He used to draw his own backgrounds and do all of the sketching and use more than two tones for shading but he got lazy and doesn’t do most of that anymore. Why should he when people don’t care how lazy the drawings are.
I just fucking hate the 3d effect. Wish he would just get rid of it. His old stuff looked so much better without the blurred lines. Also his line-work in general got a lot thicker over the last year or so Very noticeable if you compare it to his older stuff.
I don’t mind the simpler shading personally, especially on stuff like comic pages it fits quite well.
