here is a very basic step by step what one of these panels looks like from concept to finish, I now do a rough painting first, then after the grueling process of getting the shapes right I line them and then color in the linework and do all the shiny painting. Not a style Im going to to for every new comic, since its very time consuming, but every now and then ill attempt this more polished look.

Thanks man, they keep going through several revisions, if I can start getting them right at the second or third time instead of the 10th, I can cut back on time tremendously, Im not sure if more people prefer the more realistic or cartoony takes on faces I do. But regardless the stylistic approach, I always make sure to give the expressions alot of thought.
