Okay just to make it clear for anyone who gives a fuck, autism is a social and mental disorder where people have a (as i like to call it) social skill below zero which means they cant understand most situations and are mostly drawn towards them selfs this can , if the person has a lighter form of autism, be helped by teaching the person how to be social and such. 2. Most cases it is a social issue but it definitely varies from person to person and depending on how much help they get early on can change a low socially functioning autistic to almost a mirror image, if not better at socially inclined functions as other people.

The social classes that people offer at a wide variety of schools range from grouping autistic and mentally retarded children together to treating autism like a meal ticket and creating a system that makes children alienated from their classmates by taking them out of class regularly for the so called social interaction classes.
The word retarded has definitely lost its meaning and just like autism is now a synonym for stupidity and actions that aren’t seen to be smart. Even though being mentally retarded or autistic has nothing to do with intelligence or being “smart.”
