Have you Ever played “Legend of Zelda: Oracle of ages”? (for the game boy colour/nintendo 3ds)
It’s My Favourite Zelda of all time (Yes, Above “Twilight Princess”, even though that’s my second favourite) (I don’t really think “Ocarina of Time” is a great zelda game. The level design was clumsy and incomplete. the only level that Honestly felt polished was “the water temple” (and no, that’s not the hard one, you’re mixing it up with the “Ice Temple”) and the lore felt like it had had 5 years to develope, then ran out of time, and created the game with the incomplete concept in a year or two… And “Majora’s Mask” is just Way too stressful, to be considered a “thought” game (which zelda is known for) (and it’s a similar, but WAAAY better version of “links awekening :) )).
Oracle of Ages, has a great concept, great pixel art/little details, a story? yes. But the only story that matters two you is this: you go check on the triforce, but it for some mysterious reason, summons you to an unkown land. GREAT weapons/items :D. All the bosses/puzzles seem well thought out, and can take HOURS to complete, and afterwards you feel accoplished, because it actually made a lot of sense (and great sound assets/music as well! (love Nayru’s ong :) ). All in All. a pretty Good game. Would Play again.
(Although it’s twin game “oracle of seasons” is way more “grind based”, and presents more of a “show off value”, since it’s shorter, dumber and harder. Which i don’t really care for…)

I wanna say that oracle of ages and oracle of seasons are 2 of the most amazing zelda games that I have played. Plus replay ability with when after you finish one of the first main quest in one game and then you can continue the other quest with the new items you can unlock with the codes you can get from the other game. It is a fucking great game. both of them.

But Fuck the “Stone Tower” (for one thing that if you don’t know you need Magic Milk (Chateau Romani) you’re screwed, and have to do the whole thing over…)

(also, the fact that you can’t save properly, unless you’re at an owl, which you, if i remember correctly, you’d have to run to, before time ran out, for the first half of the game, before you learned the “Song of Soaring”, or you’d die/loose all your progress. Also the fact, that 1: you only had very little time to do everything, you had to remember to invest all your rupees in the bank, to keep them like your masks/items, unless you wanted to loose them like your quest items/progress, when you played the “Inverted Song of Time”. And to top it all off. Not just the side objectives, but to complete the WHOLE game, you’d have to do that before the very limited time runs out. That is: Beat the four temples, all in one go, and show at the central clock tower, before midnight. And to top it all off: once you’re up there, you have to run like fuck, because you have like 30 seconds, to figure out what to do…) It was just way too stressful to me. Don’t get me wrong, the setting was the best one ever. But the gameplay was crap. Just didn’t give much time for exploration, preoccupiedness/taking own time at solving puzzles… Just my opinion :
