What do you guys think about the “pornographic drought” that began after February 2nd and was already beginning before then. I’m not trying to hate or push any sort of agenda I just want honest opinions. Please try to avoid simple answers such as but not limited to; “Fuck shad”/ “This is shad’s website he can do what he wants” etc.
I find it ultimately disappointing. I could tell, or at least it seemed, Shad was getting tired of catering to the rapacious appetites of the pornographic audience he had built over the the two plus years prior and how thankless they tend to be. I came to Shad/Shagbase not long after he begun to pivot from comics to more explicitly sexual and sexually driven material. That’s ultimately what I come here for. I appreciate his journey and morphing inspiration as an artist, but I’ve been frankly underwhelmed by his work for some time now, on about the time frame you demonstrated, with a few exceptions (i.e. Sunderreligion, etc).
In short, as a long time consumer of his art, I have been disappointed with and uninspired by much of the recent product and the choice of fetishes within.
Nonetheless, I still have appreciation for the artist he is and his portfolio of work over the years.
