Bamboo is a good starting tablet, cant really go wrong with Wacom in general, also why not try using Paint Tool Sai.

Sketchbook is pretty bare bones in terms of features. You’re better off learning almost any other program. I always recommend Manga Studio 5 or Clip Studio Paint if photoshop is too much for you. They’re more or less the same program when it comes to digital art. I think it’s a good idea to have Photoshop + Manga Studio 5/ Clip Studio Paint. This way you get software with a line stabilizer and one that’s unrivaled in terms of editing and ease of painting.
