Tragedy hit my computer yesterday, the hard drive has always been having small hiccups and slowdowns in the past months, however yesterday it completely gave up on me. Allot of date got corrupted and the entire computer became useless without a functional operating system. Spent the entire Saturday trying to salvage whatever I can. But it takes more than a few lost project files and a busted computer to curb my enthusiasm, I already ordered and payed for a powerful new rig (would have done that anyway since my computer was getting a bit too slow to work with) and thanks to my friend Spazkid I have a backup computer to work with till my new machine gets in.
So I will keep you updated with the regular amount of updates, even if I do have to start from scratch on certain projects. The Double Jinxed comic was the one that got affected the most.

Luckily, depending on how the damage was done, most (if not all) of the data can be recovered with enough time & effort, which it sounds like you have been doing that. Who knows, you might be able to get even the newer stuff using something like photorec (http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec) to search for whatever file type you save working copies with (.tiff, .psd, etc). Again not sure of the extent of damage and if that will work.

Forgot to say, if the HDD issues were just old age, virus, or power surge/outage type issues that damage the FS, the tool I linked should help.
If it’s a physical issue, such as the arm not moving right (lagging behind or scraping on the disc) because of shock (like being dropped/hit), you might need to take the magnetic platter out of your drive and transplant it into a new one (which you then can recover your data, with or without a special tool).
Of course, the exact solution depends on your situation, but at the very least you are likely to have the possibility of paying someone to recover your data if you don’t feel like doing it yourself. There are people who can get data from a *completely crushed* drive (though this takes a very long time and is expensive) so the data isn’t truly “gone”.
And yeah, I had seen that tattoo image before, so being a commission doesn’t surprise me. I wasn’t trying to point out it wasn’t colored, I just really liked it and wanted a clean+colored background.
For starters, it wasn’t 1920×1080, was a .jpeg (which was easily fixable to make b&w, re-add the yellow tint, clean the edges), added some color, then just had a bit of fun with details and adding shading. Completely personal project that I thought others here might like, as well as making a point that some of us (those savvy on it, anyways) prefer lossless formats (specifically on something like a desktop background) so as an option for some things it’d be awesome. Anyways, quite fun, and I have a new background now :)
Plus, I know many come here exclusively for porn, but I really like the skeleton/original content/metal/robotic/chaos type stuff you do. I’d love to see more of it grace the main page, even if it was a 1/20 pages or not-quite-monthly type thing.

I got back allot of old work, but most of the recently modified work was lost, and unfortunately thats most of my unfinished pinups and comic pages. But no use crying over spilled milk how they say in america, just got to make new ones. And im looking forward to getting the new computer, ill be able to work faster without all the slowdowns and load times.
