Well the Ferals actually look much uglier. If it wasn’t for my previous Fallout experience I would think they were different species from the Normals. Not sure why the designers did that. Maybe they didn’t want people accidentally shooting friendlies? Who knows.
Anyway I wouldn’t say they look worse. But now their design is much more mutant than zombie. They even have black eyes which I at least don’t think the ghouls had in the other games.

First time a NPC has ever romanced me…
You can Suplex people too, I do it when I walk up behind people with the Powerfist and do a guaranteed kill in VATS.
