I got a chance to try the Open Battleborn Beta this weekend, I had a good time with it and Orendi the little Chaos Witch voiced by the same actress who did Tiny Tina from Borderlands immediately caught my attention, so heres a little pinup of her.

It wasn’t that hard to get to 28, but Caldarius is a horrible character. He needs major buffs when the game comes out.

Battleborn was amazeballs. I’m sad I forgot about the beta until the final day, but it was FUN. I got good at Oscar Mike in PvE, but I got my ass whuped in PvP.

For some reason Ashly Burchs Characters are always awesome. Tiny Tina, Chloe from Life is Strange, Miss Pauling, Cassie Cage.
Except Chloe was awful…at least in the first half of the episodes (1-3, and a little bit of 4).
I believe you would find a lot of characters and inspiration from SMITE. It’s a free to play 3rd person moba.

Battle Born is pretty great. I love Gear Box’s sense of humor, especially their dialogue for secondary characters. There are a couple things i have a problem with so far. The 1 big thing is the fact that being a character who rely on skill shots, it’s difficult to aim at anything, especially when the entire screen is full of explosions. But other than that(and also fuck constantly bumping into allies) its really good.

I’ve never asked but how do you cone up with poses for your characters and others drawings? Do they just come to you or do you use references sometimes?
I usually have a general idea in what I want to do, and if Im having difficulties I use references for certain positions. In this case I wanted to use the 4 arms somehow, while showing off her feet.

Overwatch is more inspired from TeamFortress like, Battleborn come from moba game (Smite, Monday Night Combat), not really the same in the way you play it. I’m in the same case, friend who look for overwatch when I look for Battleborn.

I still use the tablet, but by now I have one twice the size, its still pretty much the same feel, theres just less zooming in and more canvas playroom.
Also when you use paintool sai and photoshop is this only for colouring have you used it to draw/alter drawings. Thank you for the answer btw :D

I’ve had a lot of fun with battleborn since the techhnical alpha, and while Orendi is one of my favorites, the character i loved the most has to be Ambra, both her character design and her absolutely crazy skills. Did you have a chance to play her at all?
I only played as Orendi, Montana, The British Robot Sniper and Isic. From all of those the only ones I did any good as, were Montana and Isic.

Nice pic. I had a few rounds with battleborn (using the Archer) but despite being essentially a shooter, it still had the trappings of a moba which I loathe. Clearly I’m in the minority as millions of people love those games. Give me a straight up arena shooter over it any day.

Battleborn didn’t grab me at all. I played it for 2 hours but it just didnt do it for me. It just feels like a pretty meh crossover between Borderlands, Monday Night Combat, and Mobas.
Same here, it bored me. Matches are way too long, shooting both NPC’s and players is too annoying of a task, classes are pretty unbalanced. The charminess of the game felt forced IMO. Maybe I got spoiled by Overwatch, but this game didnt do it for me at all.

I played the beta for a bit before I got sucked in to DS3. Played as Orendi and Reyna, both were pretty fun – would have liked to suss out Mellka but wasn’t able to play long enough to unlock her. Pretty fun game though – I’ll probably buy it when it comes out.

Battleborn seems like an interesting game, though nothing I would get into. I’ll be stuck on Dark Souls 3 for a while myself, hope that game gets patched for the PC soon for you though Shad. You did a nice job drawing Orendi with the pose and colors and all, but the only thing that somewhat bothers me is the second pic of her spreading her ass, considering what i’ve seen from previous pics of a nature as such.
