I wanted to revisit this theme one more time cause I really was not happy with how the last page turned out cause of how messy it ended up being, I this time took a much more careful approach in doing the lines.
I originally intended it to be purely black and white to stay authentic medieval looking, but I figured a little of color and lighting will bring it to life a bit more, Ironically the black and white approach like this took me longer than if I would have just painted it. I will revisit this style again if I have anymore medieval themed ideas Id like to draw, but for now Ill go back to painting the comics.

But the comics like this have all the weird and messed up shit we love from our shad and so much more extra stuff to look at. Whole shitton of details in the backrounds on the big overview panels, like that giant manpile, goddamn that must’ve been a painstaking job to get done, also no help from colors to touch things up, so all the linework has to be more on-point than usual to keep things looking tight.
Also dig the experimental calligraphy. Really adds to the theme and the style’s just really cool to just look at. Indeed harder to read, deffinetly on the previous page. Struck a good ballance between style and readability on this page. Gotta zoom in a bit more when reading it on a phone, but still worth it to me. Hope ye manage to keep dem comics fresh with lots more differents styles tried out like this.
