Not trying to tell you how to do your art so much as figure out the timeless question; what. do. you. want. from. us.
No reason to be upset when the art is good.
It’s not about the popular vote, if the subject doesn’t interest the artist then they are not going to enjoy creating it. It helps that if its a character from a game/show the artist played the game or likes said show. Sometimes a character is too popular and you can literally find hundreds of fan creations on the internet that the artist refuses to conform with the mass hype.
Just continue to be supportive, don’t give up if you’re passionate about a certain character, and try suggesting other characters (don’t forget to add an image link of them).

I completely understand where you’re coming from and gotta say thank you for those kind words, but I have been supportive to Shad and have been giving suggestions out the ass as well as support along the way. The problem is that neither I nor other Shadlings know what he wants from us when he asks “what do you guys want to see?”. I guess it opens up new pathways to other characters which is always good, but I’ve seen some fantastic concepts for pics in these comments only for them to fall flat. I don’t hate Shad but I just want to know what he wants to hear from us. It gets confusing is all you know?

Alright I didn’t see that, honest mistake, but the problem is that I’ve given so many suggestions that fall flat as well as see other people’s too but Shad doesn’t seem to bat an eye to them. He asks what we want every time and we answer (mostly asking about the comics but I get why he doesn’t finish though it’s a ton of work needed over a lot of time) yet it doesn’t amount to anything on here. I get it, they’re called suggestions for a reason, but it just seems like he doesn’t consider what some people say. I’ve seen some incredibly good ideas from people here and I understand that some won’t interest Shad, but it’s like commenting for disappointment, like what I say doesn’t really have an impact when I’m trying to answer the man’s questions. Do you get where I’m coming from on this? I’m not mad at Shad, I’m just confused with his modus operandi.
