Actually, subseries to Final Fantasy never sell anywhere near as much. X-2 sold only 3.4 million. Crisis Core sold only 2.57 million. Dirge of Cerberus sold only 1.2 million. FF10/10-2 HD remaster sold only 1.6 million. Each of these are the sales of when they came out.

Oh and FF13-LR sold 1.4 million the year it came out while FF13 sold 6.2 million copies the year it came out.
